Donate To The 48 Hour Walk For Tomorrow’s World Changer Microadventure

The day has come!!!! I am embarking on my 50 mile, 2 day mission all along the coastline. Within the past week we’ve raised over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS and COUNTING!!! Come Monday I’ll be donating 100% of the proceeds to DonorsChoose.org!

1.) Each one of us has amazing and fulfilling talents, interests, and resources.
2.) We can take those, and give something remarkable back to the world.
3.) That’s done by creating an epic, out-of-the box project, event, business etc that combines your passion and a cause your passionate about.

1.) You give to a classroom project
2.) DonorsChoose delivers the materials to the class
3.) Kids learn, are able to do real school projects, start school newspapers, organize clubs, bands, orchestras, purchase the classic books we all read, and much more.

I love to travel, but right now I’m stationed in a permanent spot while I build up my business and work on a few passion projects. So, I thought, how can I get my Go Go Go self to slow down a bit, get that travel/exploring feeling back again, and go on a little adventure. I decided to walk.

But then I thought, why not make it something bigger? If one thing is true in this world it’s that this life is way more than just you and I. Everyone matters, and we all have love, passion, and empowerment to give.

So, I decided to join forces with The Mad to Live Community, DonorsChoose.Org, a few awesome sponsors, and a good pair of walking shoes and embark on this journey.

Wish me luck you guys! And be sure to check back on Twitter and make sure that my feet aren’t falling off! I’ll be posting a few videos throughout the day as well as posting pictures of myself as I get more sunburn! 😛

To support this insane walk and amazing organization, any contribution within your means means the world!
Please also share this page with your friends and social circle on twitter, facebook, and email!

Let’s support these students that are the world changers of tomorrow, and show others that they can change the world in big ways simply by doing amazing things with their passions!

About Lauren Rains

Hi my name is Lauren Rains. I write about the human experience. Through thick and thin, I’m dedicated to growth, adventure, integrity, and love. The Mad To Live is based on my pursuits, experiments, research, and lessons of challenge and triumph in all areas of life, including being entrepreneur, a writer, a philosopher, a traveler, a teacher, a student, a creative, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a significant other, a stranger and the list goes on. At the end of the day, I believe human beings are here for two reasons: 1.) to love one another with total acceptance, and 2.) to see what we’re made of as we create the possibilities for an abundant life for ourselves and for others. No more bullshit, let's just enjoy our lives.

Share with me what you're getting into that matters to you. It could be stepping into entrepreneurial pursuits, embarking on a journey of the self, making a crazy life change, or even if you're totally stuck. I want to connect with, support, collaborate with, and learn from as many people as possible through this blog (that means you!)
